Bulgarian climate
Bulgarian climate last decades is completely different of last centuries. Climate of Bulgaria is moderate continental, while near Black sea coast and southernmost is similar of Mediterranean. A great reflection of it is the subtropics winds that pushed in Bulgaria near the rivers of Maritsa, Struma and Mesta. From north part of Bulgaria are rush cold air flows, sometimes bring arctic coldness. Considerable are winds from west caring wet and cold air flows, the Black sea reflected too much. Annual average temperatures vary from - 3 C˚ C region of Musala peak (Rila Mountain) to + 14 C˚ in southernmost area near town of Sandanski. The top temperatures during the summer are in July and August 25 C˚. Fall in temperatures in April and May lead up to ground frost with negative reflections for the plant. Long lasting high temperatures in the summer are harmful as well. Autumn in Bulgaria e very favourable, for fruits and vegetables growth, and most beautiful is near Black sea shore. – Average annual temperatures are 22 C˚ to 25 C˚. Directions of winds in Bulgaria are very miscellaneous. For long time are north winds, bring a considerable Atlantic masses to rush in Bulgaria. West winds lead up to relative hot spring and brief rains through the summer. Significant are north- east winds, carrying hot and wet continental air flows. In winter the north- east winds are chilly, while through the summer it’s bringing the temperatures drops. The local wind is called fion, melting the snow cover in the spring and accelerate the autumn leafs falls. In the spring and summer the breeze, correspondingly get cooler and warm up with sea and land breaths. Rainfalls in Bulgaria are more important in west than east part. Increasing levels of precipitation are in the Bulgarian mountains, and less are in the plains and lowlands. In Bulgaria predominate precipitations are snows than rains. Snow rains are mostly in mountains and prolong about 195 days. Snow cover lasts shortly in east Bulgaria- approx. 12- 15 days. Last year like worldwide, abnormal weather is appear in Bulgaria, dry and hot summers or wet ones take turns, as relatively hot and dry winters with long lasting snowing winters.
