First Bulgarian is located here after Russian- Turkish wars- many people come here from Kotel region. In 1851 was founded first Dobrich fair, which collects the goods of merchants of Rousse, Varna and Shoumen. Sightseeing of Dobrich includes church St. George, first theological college, and first Post office. Name of the town comes from the boyar Dobrotitza. At the beginning of XX centuries the town fall down under Rumanian domination. Freedom comes on 25th September 1940- it’s declared as Independence Day of Dobrich. Climate is moderate continental with average annual temperature of 11. 4 C. Winter is cold and windy, while the summer is dry and hot. Nowadays Dobrich is well developed city in the region and important industrial, transport, trade and cultural center with many new hotels built in east par of Republic of Bulgaria.
